东南大学生物医学工程学院顾忠泽教授及其研究团队制备了具有光子晶体结构的碳棒,依据布拉格定律,光子晶体碳棒反射的光波波长受折射率和占空比的影响。当光子晶体碳棒浸入血清或者血液中时,将改变光子晶体碳棒的有效折射率,进而影响光子晶体碳棒的反射光谱。通过检测光子晶体碳棒的反射光谱,实现了对胆固醇的非酶检测,并有希望实现胆固醇检测的可视化。此外,由于光子晶体碳棒内的微结构尺寸远小于血细胞,光子晶体碳棒可以用于胆固醇的全血检测。
