The Physics group of Wiley is offering a Trainee position based in our Beijing office for the following group of internationally-renowned, high-impact journals: Advanced Materials, Annalen der Physik, physica status solidi, Journal of Computational Chemistry. You will gain on-the-job experience in many different aspects of publishing, such as the acquisition and development of journal content, peer-review procedures, and contact with authors and referees from all over the world.

Applicants for the position should have a broad interest in condensed matter physics, atomic/molecular/chemical physics, with a PhD in applied physics. He/ she should be self-motivated, have excellent organizational and communication skills (written and verbal), be diplomatic, flexible, and familiar with text and graphics computer applications. The applicants must be fluent in Chinese and have an excellent command of the English language. International postdoctoral experience and/or previous publishing experience would be advantageous.

The position will be based in Beijing. The successful candidate will be trained in our Beijing office, but may spend some time at our Wiley-VCH offices in Weinheim and Berlin.
